For the production of large runs of self-adhesive labels, Flexo printing technology is the most used option. It involves flexible printing forms and UV inks – one of the types of letterpress printing. An important advantage of this method is the speed of operation. Even the largest print run of labels can be produced in a reasonable time frame, with the image transferred onto the material in photographic quality. All color transitions and halftones present in the layout are preserved.
However, the use of flexography is not always rational for printing small runs of self-adhesive labels. This process requires flexographic plates, the cost of which is shared among all products produced. To optimize the cost of printing small runs of labels, we use Digital Printing. This technology involves direct transfer of ink from the digital press to the printed material and therefore does not require the manufacture of printing plates. The digital equipment used allows us to obtain offset quality products.
